Now you're probably wondering what measures we will take to expand our colony and what's in it for YOU? Not to worry, we have many different marketing strategies and incentives we would like to implement in order for our colony to flourish!
Land GrantsWe can only give what we have. And now. thanks to the Duke of York we have cast amounts of land. We will be giving away 200 acres of land to the first 400 families (A husband, a wife and a child) and 50 acres for each extra adult and 30 acres for each extra child. Not only will you relieve free land but the first 100 families will get a slave for free. (All slavery rights of owner protected)
Tax CutsIn addition to the land grants, we will be announcing that for the first 800 settlers, the tax they owe from their crops, fur or iron that they grow will only be 1.6% for the first 10 years. (4% thereafter). Taxes are rising greatly back in England and who wouldn't want an opportunity to relieve themselves of that? So take your families and friend and move into The New York Colony!!

Benefits to the Company:
- Strategically located trading port (fur trading): New York is a prime location for shipping natural resources to England, as well as bringing slaves in.
- Good relations with Native Americans: We are able to maintain peace with the Native American Tribes, which help us significantly with fur trading in order to make money. - Vast amounts of land and resources: Unlike in England, where land is scarce, in all the colonies there is an abundance of new resources and land to claim. Benefits for the Colony:
- More diverse economy: New York's economy relies heavily on shipping and agriculture, so new companies will promote diversity and prevent the entire market from falling apart if an industry collapses.
- Higher wealth: The company will make money and the employees will be paid, which will make New York richer in general. - More employed people: More opportunities for the colonists to be employed and make a living, which will essentially bring even more colonists who are looking for work to New York |
